My Dressssssss!!!!!!

Ok, so if Nate ever sees this I'll be mad at myself for posting it...but hey, at least it's not me in the dress, it's just a model, and meh, I doubt he ever checks my blog :)

Adpalooza

I've become so engrossed with advertising since, well, it's my major, and I'm only in ad classes since I'm already done with GE and minor classes. Consequently, my little brain in continually on advertising overdrive.

My first creative class (330) has quickly become a fave. Here's some of the first ads I've created. I'm quite proud of them! I know I have a lot to learn since this is only my first class in creative, and these are only a few I've done so far, but still, I love it!

This one was for Playstation 3

These 2 were for Listerine Pocket Packs or whatever they're called

...so I have no idea why the colors are so messed up! I've tried figuring it out, but I've given up for the day. Just fyi. Actually I really just have a thing for faded colors and blue people. yup. kidding.

Best Weekend Ever

I've decided there are major pros to having a job where I can do homework on the clock. Not only am I being paid my measly wage to sit and do homework, but since I get most of my homework done during the day early in the week, I essentially have long, homework-free weekends from Thursday to Monday. I love it!

This weekend was the epitome of fun! Thursday night, a group of us all went up to the Jazz/Mavs game in Salt Lake...it was still tons of fun even though we were sitting ummmmm closer to the ceiling than the floor :p

Friday afternoon I spent obsessively bent over this masterful creation of a cake for Nate's little sister Tanya's 9th birthday. I was pretty proud of it to say the least. Nate and I spent the rest of Friday night playing raquetball and getting fat at Sammy's (this yummy burger and shake place on Center in Provo)
Saturday we went to the Draper Temple open house. It is so incredibly beautiful! Later, Nate and I took Tanya to Build-A-Bear for her birthday. So much fun. Then we hit up Happy Sumos and "He's Just Not That Into You" with some friends. A-MAZING! Highly recommended, even though it has a *promiscuous* scene with the skeez of the movie.

Sunday I spent with Daniel. We made a fantastic dinner and fresh bread to boot. He was quite proud.

All in all, this weekend was just the weekend I needed to just relax and have fun. Seriously perfect!

Back to Busy

Since I had the genius idea to change my major my senior year of college, I haven't really had a crazy busy semester in, say, a year...and now, wa-BAM! Not that I'm complaining at all since I love my major, but I have to admit that I so do not bounce back as quick from long, hard nights full of studying and lack of sleep like I used to.

Sleep always seems to be the first thing that goes on my list when life gets busy. Scratch that, I think the gym is technically first to go quickly followed by sleep. That said, I think I'm going to attempt to change that so at least one night a week I get the full 8 hours. Oh, and possibly make it to the gym 3 times a week...or even just once. ha.

Oh, and it's still cold. freezing cold. hate hate hate. but there is ONE thing that makes me enjoy it. This was so much fun (even with a frozen face), I can't even explain the amount of joy it brought to me.

A Sunny, Crazy, Adventurous Family Christmas & New Years

You know, you'd think that I'd be ok with spending Christmas and New Years in Hawaii, but let's be honest, Christmas just doesn't feel like Christmas when you're spending it sitting on the beach in your teensy swimsuit. It's like an oxymoron.

However, Christmas and New Years did in fact ROCK this year! My family is one endless amount of fun, especially when we're all together.

Highlights of this years advent?

Skydiving with the sibs and soon to be sib Nate on New Years Eve definitely deserves rockstar status. Our parents paid for it as a late Christmas present, and it was so funny because as we were all getting suited up, all my Mom could say was, "oh my gosh I just paid for my kids to jump out of an airplane. At 14,000 feet." And...OH MY GOSH IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!

Going to see FannyPak and SoReal perform in Honolulu with Nate. Shake yo bon bon, shake yo bon bon...

Of course the standard daily consumption of not just one, but both Matsumotos and Kava Roots Acai Berry Bowls. Nate is now an addict, which makes me love him even more.

A fantastic--even if slightly illegal--fireworks show on New Years. My cousins should go into the business, they're naturals.

And last but not least, I GOT ENGAGED!!!!! Nate proposed to me Sunday, January 4, 2009 at sunset on sunset beach. I will write a separate post for that one later so I can include full details.

...One Fall Later

Ok, I know, I am evidently NOT good at blogging. I haven't blogged since I left Hawaii *ahem* 3 months ago. However, it is my early new years resolution to be better. Hence this feeble attempt to catch you up on the main highlights of what has consisted of my life this fall.

Fact: boyfriend=less homework being finished

Sigh, it's true. The past three months have been quite possibly the least academically productive ones of my life. However, they've also been the three funnest months yet thanks to my amazing boyfriend! He's quickly become one of my best friends, I love it.

Fact: weekend trips=a must

This was the second weekend trip of the semester...in september, the first month of school haha...we all went to Moab where Steve proposed to Steph! My advice: if you aren't already a member of the weekend trip club, don't start now. You'll become an addict. And go out of town at least every other weekend. And then fail all of your midterms. Then again, you'll have more fun than you even knew was possible...

Fact: finally getting into your major your senior year of college=A-mazing.

I'll have to get around to putting up a copy of the actual movie I made for my entrance video. It was tizzzight. But I only have it on DVD right now, so once I figure out how to get that on here, I will!

Fact: moped+me+sunny days=bliss

It's true. Mr. Scoot Scoot is the key to all happiness while the sun is still shining in Provo, UT. Not to mention that my little brother and I make a killer duo on it. Oh, and if you're single, I think it's the one way I have had more boys hit on me EVER. Seriously. Scooter+any hot girl riding it=automatic date within the hour.

Fact: best friends=the best

Kris and I have successfully now completed 3.5 years of college together. I have to admit I'm so sad I'm not graduating on time and that she is!

Fact: Halloween=dress-up, which equals sooooo much fun

Exhibit 1: Brooke and Camille post super hero party. I was bat girl. It was fantastic. Running around in spandex in public is quite liberating actually.

Exhibit 2: the actual night of halloween, as Cleopatra. These are the roommates, we had so much fun that night!

Fact: Girls=perfect balance to life

While we all agree that boyfriends/fiances are fantastic, we all need a little girl time every now and then. These girls have been the best to hang out with this semester!

Ok, so that catches me up to Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving post to come soon!
