Enamored.

I have never been as enamored by a series of ads than I was by the EF-Live the Language series I stumbled across this morning. Beautiful is really the only word that describes these.

Meet Coco

Blog, meet Coco. Coco, meet Blog.

I get to puppy sit this darling fur ball for the next two weeks and could NOT be happier about it. So far we have one road trip, three walks, & many sessions of catch under our belt.

I think this is going to be a good relationship.

A Grown Up Snow Day (!!!)

What happens on a professional snow day you ask?

You...

Watch the storm from the comfort of your bed.
Work from your bed until noon.
Stay in your PJs all day.
Don't put a speck of makeup on your face all day.
Go through all of your old photo booth pics by the time lunch hits.
Have time for a midday facial.
Take 700 new photo booth pics during + after said lunch time facial.
Laugh so hard at above photos you almost pee your pants.
Delete all but the one (semi) normal photo. See above.
Play with Coco.
Eat nothing but biscuits + herbal tea. Thank you sore throat.
Finish work by 5.
Have a movie in by 6.
Go to bed by 10.

Thank you snow day, you have been too kind to me today. Dare I say, I think I like you even more in the grown up world than the academic one.

The Plymouth Ice Fest

Winter has taken on a whole new meaning to me this year. Namely in the form of indoor hibernation. Arctic weather + lack of the rocky mountains does that to me. BUT. On occasion, fun things like the ice festival temp me just enough to endure the two degree weather for an afternoon, especially when cute stores full of vintage fur coats & hats are involved.

So worth it, frozen cheeks and all.

And for the record, there is no such thing as taking a normal picture in a ridiculous fur coat. and that hat in the last photo is indeed a hat, and not a mullet. That's all.

The North American Auto Show

I like my job a lot. Strategy + Me, we're like thiiis. But, I especially like my job when I get out of the office to do field work.

Like today.

Me + the North American Auto Show.

I was totally skeptical about it at first since I'm not really a car buff (& had no idea how big of a deal this show is)...but in the end it was a lot of fun! They had everything there from Bentley to Chevy. The show isn't open to the public yet, so I had the chance to check out every single brand that was there and sit in and drive in a couple different cars. There were a TON of people there today, but apparently it's shoulder to shoulder during the public days. Guess I'll get to see the madness for myself next week!

The funniest part of the day was realizing that probably 70% of the people there were men (after a guy creepily told me I looked like Mariah Carey...uhh...no. and another guy told me I'd be the perfect accessory to a Jeep. Barf. Both within a five minute window.) Ohhh men.

My favorite part of the day though was checking out all of the different interactive games the brands had set up in their 'towns.' Chevy hands down had the best overall setup (interactive Kinect game pods, 360 camera shots, and a live band), but Ford had the best game. Street racing in a rumble seat with surround sound as a cop who has to ram into and run the bad guys off the road. Haha. I swear this place is a guy's dream come true.

Oh, and lest I forget. You're looking at today's top scorer at Ford. HA. No idea how that even happened.
