I find this one quite accurately summarizes my exact thoughts at the moment:
Moving Back To Utah
Pros:
-Friends. Yay for friends. (however, kris I'd be infinitely happier if you were still going to be in UT)
-Ash and Linds said they'd adopt me on weekends so I can escape the hell hole of provo whenever I need to. I'm guessing it'll happen more often than not.
-The countdown will commence. 8 months. Then peace out Provo. I will be making a paper chain, just FYI.
-I have missed the mountains dearly.
-Rock climbing.
-Mountain biking.
-Less fun stuff to do=less money spent while living in UT
-I am determined I will learn to ski/learn to ski better this season. I don't care how much time or money it takes, I'm doing it. Ok, maybe I care about the money part.
-Advertising peeps. I have to admit I love my friends I've made in my major.
-McCann. I'm pretty much hell bent on getting an internship there come january.
-Salt Lake and Park City.
-Cabin trips when I get bored with life.
-Getting to drive my car.
-NO HUMIDITY. maybe this one needs to be higher on my list. I'm stoked for this.
-Attempt to get my tan back. UT surprisingly has more sun than the city. huh.
Cons:
-One word for you: exs.
-Not the city. This can be interpreted roughly as: nothing interesting to do after 11PM, not nearly as many good places to eat, close to no cultural events, same goes for art exhibits, not as many cool parks, lack of urban amazingness...take your pick.
-School. As excited as I am to finish, I'm not a fan of exams. love the learning part, hate the testing part. huh, who would've thought.
-Having to pay for gas again for my car. I've started to like public transit. weird.
-Reiterate point 1, see above.
-Fear of having like no single girl friends left in provo.
-Realization that I will now be "old" for a girl in provo. wtc. 22 is YOUNG!
-Summer time modesty regulations and myself are not friends. period.
-Nobody wears funky, inspiring clothes in UT. It's quite unfortunate. I love that about NY. You can wear the funkiest outfit and people totally think it's cool. In Provo everyone stares at you like you've lost it.
-I'm stopping now. I'd like to keep the pros longer than the cons.
In the end, I really am excited to be back in UT for another 8 months. But I'm also terrified of potential loneliness and memories...but meh, what's new.

Brooooke: stop these fears of coming back. ashley and i are STILL single. we STILL love you. we'll STILL be close by. you can count on us! you're coming home to open arms and party times.
ReplyDeleteheart!
I would be excited about leaving the humidity too! It gets so hot and sticky here! By the way I called you the other day but I am not sure if you got it or not or if I even had the right phone number! I miss you!
