I went to bed last night at 10PM. TEN. A full two hours before midnight, on my own accord, not just because I was exhausted. And oh my, can I just tell you how amazing it felt in the morning to wake up on my own and be perfectly refreshed and ready for a new day at 6:30AM? Seems like there is some serious truth in 'early to bed, early to rise.'
Why have I never done this before?!*

*oh wait, because I used to have a social life. that's why. ha. but seriously, can any of you remember the last time you went to bed before midnight?

I tried this out senior year at BYU. It was incredible. I NEVER fell asleep in class (a true miracle... America Hertiage), remembered more, and got my assignments done weeks before they were due.
ReplyDeleteMy social life was nothing special, but it was totally worth it. It was hands down my best and most successful year at BYU.
In high school I used to go to bed at like 9. I think that is why I loved Early Morning seminary so much! Now, I keep telling myself that I need to go to bed at 10 so I can be happier and ready for work...but for some reason, I just can't get myself to bed. I think I dread having my day over. Night is the only true time I have to myself and so I devour it as much as I can.
